ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jerry Wermund is a member of the Austin chapter of the Society of Book Writers and Illustrators since 1995 a member who has lived two career lives. In his present and second life, his passion is to write for children about the earth, nature, and environment. His poetry appears in three published anthologies and in his picture books:

Jerry’s first life was a fifty-year career as a professional geologist in academia and industry. From this earlier life, Jerry includes many out door and travel experiences in his writing of stories and poetry. He gives his readers a world-wide view from locations in the United States and Alaska and ten foreign countries. Jerry lives in the small town of Buda, Texas, where he writes and manages Rockon Publishing. He often visits Port O’Connor on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, where he is a part time sport-fisherman.
